PRODUCT
OcuDel's eye drops deliver anti-inflammatory therapeutics to the site of the action. Working with the body and the cells of the eye to reduce inflammation, carefully selected formulation ingredients add moisture, stabilize the tear film and support the natural lipid layer to treat not only the signs and symptoms of dry eye but also tackle the underlying causes of this chronic and often debilitating disease.
BEGINNINGS
OcuDel was set up as a spinout from South East Technological University (SETU). Since 2012, Dr. Fitzhenry has led a research group in ocular drug delivery (the OTRG) in SETU, securing funding of over €6 million for his work in the area. He is the coordinator and consortium leader of a €4 million MSCA-ETN project (ORBITAL) consisting of 24 international partners and focusing on innovation for ocular drug deliver.
